It is considered obligatory to wear a mask in Korea due to the spread of COVID-19. In particular, you can be refused travel if you do not wear a face mask when taking the bus, subway and taxi. It is important to wear a mask to prevent COVID-19, but it is also important to throw the used masks away in a correct manner.

Please follow the steps to correctly discard used masks.

1. When taking off the mask, grab the string.

2. Avoid touching the surface of the mask, and fold it to make the surface face inward.

3. Wind the folded mask up with the string.

4. Seal the mask in a plastic bag and throw it away as non-recyclable trash.

5. Wash your hands thoroughly or sterilize them.

It is reported that the virus remained on the mask can spread COVID-19. For this reason, make an effort to throw the used masks away in a correct manner to protect yourself, your friends and families from COVID-19. It is mandatory to wear a mask when going out. It is crucial to wash your hands thoroughly and sterilizing them carefully.
