Pyeongtaek City has launched its annual campaign to collect waste batteries and paper cartons to prevent environmental pollution. It’d be great for everybody to join the effort to help save our planet!
If you turn in paper cartons for milk, soy milk, or juice, or paper cups that you may throw away at home, the city hall will exchange them for new rolls of toilet paper. For every 1.5kg of paper cartons, you will receive one free roll of eco-friendly toilet paper. The inside of cartons must be rinsed clean, dried, flattened, and tied up. Find the nearest administrative welfare center from the list below to turn them in.
Also, for every 10 waste batteries, the city government will provide a new one for free.
Iron and nickel from the waste batteries will be recycled and put to good use as metal resources. By collecting these at home and turning them into new goods, you can also help protect the environment.
