Among the various public transportation services in Korea, we will introduce “SRT (Super Rapid Train)” today. In Pyeongtaek, you can take the SRT to and from Suseo at Jije Station (you can also take line 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway at this station as well).

*Note: On November 1, the name of Jije Station will be formerly changed to Pyeongtaek Jije Station.

SRT is a high-speed train departing from Seoul that connects to Korea’s biggest cities, including Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and Gwangju. It’s convenient for visiting many different locations in Korea. It takes about 20minutes from Pyeongtaek to Seoul, and 2 hours and 10–20 minutes from Pyeongtaek to Busan. Because it takes a lot longer by car, SRT is favored by many Koreans.

SRT tickets can be purchased both at the station and online. Check if the tickets for your desired date are available at the website below. :) Service using a foreign card is currently being prepared, so you can reserve through “Korean” button using a card issued in Korea. If you are planning to travel domestically in Korea, SRT is a great option.

SRT provides amenities such as vending machines, restrooms, and diaper changing tables. As they are located in different cars, please take it into account before reserving tickets. Once you’re on the train, you can also check their locations from the train map attached to each seat. The seats also come with power outlets, which are very handy for everyone during travel.

For your travel needs, remember, Pyeongtaek Jije Station is there for you!
