Let’s Save Water in Daily Life!

Did you know that March 22 is World Water Day? This year, the United Nations (UN) has announced that they will focus on the theme, “Valuing Water” for World Water Day 2021. Valuing water may direct ourselves towards valuing our future. Please join this great cause to save our main necessity for survival: water. Let’s start practicing by following these water-saving methods!

<In the Bathroom>

Try saving water in the bathroom by putting water bottles filled up with water or bricks inside the toilet bowl! This way, you can reduce the amount of water being used for flushing toilets. When you are try this, just make sure to leave enough space for all parts inside the tank to function properly!

Massive amount of water gets wasted during a shower as well. Try to shorten your shower time and save the excess water!

In addition, it is recommended to use cups when brushing your teeth, and do not forget to turn off the tap when your cup is full. Also, you can always purchase water saving shower heads at nearby local stores or online to save more water.

<In the Kitchen>

If you use dishwashing bowls when washing dishes instead of using water on tap and reuse the rice water (water used to wash rice), you will be able to save tons of water. For those who use a dishwasher at home, uphold the saving of water and prevent dissipation of water by only using the exact amount of water required.

<In the Laundry Room>

It is recommended to do big piles of laundry at once, rather than doing small piles often. Lots of water is being used per session, ergo you should rinse laundry for recommended numbers only and control the amount of water depending on the amount of laundry you are doing, so there is no excess water being wasted!

We hope everyone participates in this cause to save water so we can live in a world where water scarcity is not a problem anywhere. Currently, South Korea is listed as one of the countries that is facing water shortages. Therefore, we ask everyone to consciously try conserving water in their daily lives. Remember, every drop counts!
