A CAFE FOR SWEET SOUFFLÉ PANCAKES (BAEKGEUMDANG) 백금당

Soufflé is a French word that means ”to puff” or ”to breathe”. Literally, to make Soufflé Pancakes, you must beat egg whites to a soft peak create a soft, puffy pancake. Do not miss your chance to try out Soufflé Pancakes in Pyeongtaek, as there is a cafe with Soufflé Pancakes: ”Baekgeumdang”.  


The indoor is filled with adorable props, and for the interior design, the cafe is filled with rattan and wooden furniture. One attractive point about this cafe is that there are varieties of chairs designed for the customers. Also, the beautiful lighting here makes the cafe a good photo zone.  

Baekgeumdang is also famous for its milk teas. The drink menu includes a variation of americano, latte, crème brûlée, strawberry milk, juice, and so on. For desserts, the cafe has Baekgeumdang Cake (Soufflé Pancakes), scones and chocolate mud cakes are ready for the customers as well. 




Baekgeumdang Cake comes with different kinds of fruits, and it is a dessert that creates a unison inside your mouth between the fluffy bread and sweet whipping cream. The portion is recommended for 2-3 people to share, and it becomes more flavorsome when served with coffee. Extra whipping cream is for free if you need more, so do not hesitate to ask the staff!
