Pyeongtaek City to Raise Bus Fares Starting October 25

Starting October 25, 2025, Pyeongtaek City will increase city bus fares due to rising prices, higher transportation costs, and a decrease in the number of passengers.

According to the city, the fare adjustment aims to ensure the stable operation of public transportation amid increasing fuel and labor costs.

Under the new fare structure (based on transportation card payments), the adult fare will rise from ₩1,450 to ₩1,650, the youth fare from ₩1,010 to ₩1,160, and the children’s fare from ₩730 to ₩830.

The city added that the fare hike was inevitable to maintain service quality and respond to the growing financial burden faced by local bus operators.
