Korea has many Noraebang(karaoke) near bars. The most popular types of Noraebang in Korea are regular and coin noraebang. At regular Noraebang, visitors often prepay the fee and enter into a large room that can fit a group of people. Unlike coin Noraebang, visitors are often asked to take off their shoes. At coin Noraebang, visitors should insert coins according to the number of songs they want to sing. Price may varies but it usually costs 500 KRW per song.
Rock-Q Coin Noraebang in Pyeongtaek has large rooms, coin rooms, and ondol rooms. Using a coin room costs 500 KRW for one song and 1,000 KRW for three songs. The cost of using an ondol room is 7,000 KRW and large room is 10,000 KRW per hour.
There are two buttons inside the Rock-Q Coin noraebang. The left button says ‘noraebang’ and the right button says ‘club.’ If you press the club button, then clubbing music will be played for dance. To switch music, simply press the button again. If you would like to sing again, press noraebang button on the left!
You can find songs using the remote control. If you wish to search for music from different countries, click on “국가별(By Country)”. To shift to English keys, press the “한/영 (English/Korean)” button on the bottom-left hand! You can also jump the bridge by pressing the “간주 점프(Jump Bridge)” button and change the notes by pressing the “음정(Key)” button :)
