The snacks at Dang Dang recipe are eco-friendly as they do not include chemical additives. Furthermore, the shop only uses organic ingredients. ‘Dang dang(댕댕)’ is a pun to call a dog in Korea. Koreans hear dog’s barking sound as ‘Mung mung’ which is written as 멍멍 in Korean language. Thus, often times, many Koreans call a dog ‘mung mung e.’ As ‘dang dang’(댕댕) looks similar to mung mung(멍멍), young Koreans started to call a dog ‘Dang dang e’ for fun.
The most popular menu is the Dang Dang Chicken, which is similar to Korean-style chicken. Dang Dang Chicken is a steamed chicken that is made by mixing a chicken meat, vegetables and some batter. While it looks similar to the Korean-style chicken, it is a perfect snack for dogs as it has no seasoning. Other items include Dang Dang Gimbap made in the shape of gimbap, an assortment of cookies, madeleine, duck neck bone, and pumpkin milk gum.
Dang Dang Recipe is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and is close on Sundays! If you come too late, some of the snacks may be sold out.
