How to Fill Out Entry Logs When Visiting Public Facilities!

Ever since the COVID-19 outbreak, the Korean government has been requiring public facilities to set up entry logs to trace virus transmission routes. In order to cooperate, visitors are required to either scan the personal QR code or dial the safety call number. While most of us are now familiar with this new regulation, some people still feel confused as stores use different methods for recording visits. Today, we will explain what to do for each method!

1. QR Code

Most stores have a mobile phone or tablet PC installed in front of the door for QR check-in. All you have to do is generate your QR code and tag it on the device. It is considered as the most convenient method to check-in since your personal information is already filled out. However, it can also be a bit cumbersome as it takes a few steps to create your personal QR code. If you have had difficulties creating a QR code, click on the link below to find out how to generate your own!

2. Safety Call

You may have seen a big banner in front of the store saying call this number! By making a phone call to thr 11 digits of written numbers ‘000-0000-0000’, you can register your visit to the government’s tracking system. Each facility has different phone numbers but all you have to do is call the number and hang up once you hear the voice prompt saying “Your visit has been registered.” :)

3. Writing by Hand

If you feel like writing by hand is the most comfortable method for you, you can surely fill out the information on the prepared sheet. When writing down your information, you have to include the date and time of your visit, name (optional), and phone number. If you are not a techy person, this may sound the easiest. However, please be aware that as all the visitors can see the list, there is a possibility that your personal information can be exposed.

No matter which method you choose from the above, the most important thing is to register your visit for everyone’s sake. Let’s all keep up the good work until the day COVID-19 finally ends!
