“Susanmul Baekhwajeom” means ‘Fish Department Store’ in Korean language. This place specializes in take-out sashimi(sliced raw fish) and cured sashimi. As fishes sold in the restaurant are so fresh and delicious, the restaurant is beloved by many local residents of Pyeongtaek. Please note that Susanmul Baekhwajeom only offers take-out and delivery so eating inside the restaurant is not allowed.
It takes about 30 minutes to prepare sashimi, so it is recommended that you arrive early, place your order, and then spend your time around the restaurant area. Once the time comes, return back to the place to pick up sashimi. Please note that the price of sashimi at Susanmul Baekhwajeom may vary by season.
Susanmul Baekhwajeom sells not only sashimi, but also grilled fish, sashimi with vegetables and seasoning, and spicy fish stew. Some menus may not be available due to limited supplies. Therefore, when you get there, check and see if the fishes you would like to order is available. When you order sashimi, you will get some fresh vegetables as well. :)
Susanmul Baekhawjeon is open from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m. from Tuesday to Saturday and is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. The restaurant closes only on Mondays but it can also close earlier than the aforementioned business hours if the ingredients run out quickly.
