A Date Night at Jjeob Hwa Jon’s [PIEF Foreign Repoter]

If you are looking for a nice spot for a date night this place is perfect for you! Jjeob Hwa Jon is a hidden local favorite and known for their delicious sangria. This “fusion dining and bar” restaurant does not have a large sign, so it is easy to miss from the road. However, if you use the naver link below, it takes you right to this spot! There are a few parking spots by the brick restaurant, as well as plenty of parking on the street. The front of the restaurant is marked by a small sign and lined with wine bottles for a perfect Instagram moment. The hours are listed as 17:30 -02:00.

Once you are inside, there is a quick Covid sign-in sheet, and you can pick one of the tables or seats at the bar to get cozy. The restaurant feels warm and inviting with its candle-lit tables and funky wall art. The melted wax on the brick wall adds for a romantic touch.

Signature Dish Menu

Pasta and Sides

The waiter quickly brought us a little apple drink to taste and a salad. The bar’s menu includes a drink section, wine list, and main dish pages photo’d above. The menu is not in English, but do not let this stop you from trying the delicious foods. Do not be afraid to use a translation app, show the server photos of what you like from their Naver page, or ask for help. If you are feeling adventurous just give any of the dishes a try as the food is amazing!

Chicken with Spinach Sauce and Corn Pasta

Sangria Pitcher

We visited this restaurant on Sunday evening and enjoyed the corn pasta and chicken spinach sauce dish. Both meals were great, and we shared a pitcher of the chilled red wine sangria. We were sadly too full for the gelato but will try it next time! Be sure to swing by Jjeob Hwa Jon for your next date night or to grab a drink with friends.
