Recover and renew your body energy after the scorching summer heat by indulging in some of Gamadol's specialty menu items! Though several popular Seolleongtang (Ox Bone Stew) and Gomtang (Beef Bone Stew) restaurants are scattered throughout various parts of Pyeongtaek, Gamadol is known as one of Pyeongtaek's oldest and most original seolleongtang eateries which are loved by many.
While relocating from its previous location, Gamadol renovated its new eatery to accommodate and adjust to a bettered modernity. To incoming customers transporting themselves by car, it is recommended to park your vehicle at the nearest public parking lot, as there is minimal parking in front of the restaurant's building.
Gamadol is a restaurant mainly specializing in ox stew and soup menus which include, Doganitang (Ox Knee Soup), Woojoktang (Cow Foot Stew), and Kkorigomtang (Ox Tail Stew), etc. However, it is recommended for all first-time visitors to have a taste of their richly flavored Seolleongtang Stew, a local customer's all-time favorite.
Along with a rich and savory soup broth, the restaurant's specialty is 'Sotbap' or 'Hot Pot' rice, which is served with every meal. Toward the end of your meal, once all the rice has been consumed from the metal cooking pot, hot water is usually poured into the bowl to reboil and soften the pot-stuck thin-crusted rice; to create 'Nurugji.'
'Nurugji' is widely known as a beloved crunchy 'Scorched Rice' snack; however, this version of 'nurugji' is consumed in almost an after-meal soup form, holding a smooth and nutty taste to help digest your meal. It is considered to contain many health benefits as well as medicinal attributes!
If you're up to trying something new and authentic, stop by Gamadol.
