Pyeongtaek City Mayor Jang-seon Jung has announced that Pyeongtaek will operate nine water playgrounds in its parks for free until August 31. The water playgrounds are located in seven locations in the southern part of the city (Shinheung, Segyo, Hyeonhwa, Dogok and Wonpyeong Neighborhood Park, as well as Bae Mi and Muljanggu Children's Park), and two locations in the northern part (Sopung Garden and Godeok Waterfront Park No. 12).
The operating hours of the water playgrounds are from 1 pm to 5 pm, with each session lasting 45 minutes followed by a 15-minute break. However, please note that operations may be canceled in case of rain. Additionally, the water playgrounds will be closed every Monday for cleaning and inspection purposes, as mandated by the Children's Playground Safety Management Act. Trained personnel will be deployed at the playgrounds as an added safety measure.
To ensure the safety of all users, it is mandatory for visitors to be barefoot or wear aqua shoes when entering the water playgrounds. Infants are required to wear waterproof diapers. Please note that toys and pets are prohibited within the water playgrounds for safety reasons.
