Hey everyone! Ever heard of Injeolmi Rice Cake? ๐Ÿš✨ I recently joined a fantastic Injeolmi Rice Cake Making Experience at Paengseong International Community Center (PIEF PS Center) through a funtivity class.

The Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation's Funtivity Class program aims to strengthen the ROK-USFK relationship, offering fun classes for USFK families and Pyeongtaek citizens to enjoy and bond together. Best part? Admission was completely free, ensuring everyone could join the joyful atmosphere!

Injeolmi is a sweet rice cake made during special occasions. Traditionally, it symbolizes sticking together, given to newlyweds. We made it using a clear zipper bag – add water, seal, knead with sesame oil and powder, then coat with powdered soybean.

I enjoyed the freshly made rice cake with loads of soybean powder and chocolate. Families including kids attended the class – cooking with mom is not just fun but creates everlasting memories for children.

Sign up for PIEF's Funtivity Classes and explore Korean art and culture with Pyeongtaek citizens!
