The '2023 Multi-Cultural Talk' hosted by Pyeongtaek City and organized by the Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation was held on the 25th at the Convention Wing of the Songtan International Community Center (PIEF ST Center).

The event is part of Pyeongtaek City’s Sinjang Community Revitalization Project, which aims to create a healthy multicultural society. The event included cultural experiences, multi-cultural performances, and question post-it notes for the audience to communicate directly.

In the first session of the ‘Multi-Cultural Talk’, Tumul, who appeared in 'My Neighbor Charles' in 2022, told the story of India. In the second session, Pyeongtaek University Professor Park Gi-cheol and Tumul came up to stage and had a talk concert together.

In particular, Professor Park and Tumul introduced their experiences of living in a multicultural family in Korea in a dialogue format, emphasizing the importance of diversity and mutual understanding in a multi-cultural society.

"Through this multicultural empathy talk, we hope that multicultural families in Sinjang-dong and Pyeongtaek will be able to integrate smoothly and become part of the local community," said Jung Jong-pil, CEO of the Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation.
