Ruby Kkakka (루비까까) is a pet food studio in Pyeongtaek that specializes in handmade dog treats and custom birthday cakes for dogs. Whether you want to learn how to make healthy snacks for your pet or order a special cake for an upcoming occasion, this is a place worth knowing about.
All products are made without additives, preservatives, pesticides, or antibiotics, using human-grade ingredients. Everything is handmade on-site in a licensed single-ingredient feed manufacturing facility, and all treats undergo ingredient testing and registration.
Two class formats are available.
The one-day class covers a wide range of pet snack recipes, from everyday treats to seasonal and trendy creations. Examples include yakgwa-inspired treats for Chuseok, rice cake soup for Lunar New Year, and Dubai-inspired chewy cookies, all adapted for dogs. Reservations must be made at least five days in advance and confirmed via KakaoTalk or Naver.
The hobby class runs once a week for four weeks, with a maximum of three students per session. Participants receive a detailed recipe book that includes exact measurements, temperatures, and preparation tips. The class is well suited for those who want to regularly make pet treats at home. Evening and weekend sessions are available, and discounts are offered for group bookings.
Custom dog cakes are also available for birthdays, adoption anniversaries, and other special occasions. The cake base is made with sweet potato, lactose-free milk, rice flour, antibiotic-free eggs, olive oil, honey, and natural powders. Orders must be placed at least three to four days in advance and can be picked up through a 24/7 unmanned pickup system.
Parking is available at the nearby 5-Danji apartment complex. Upon arrival, tell the security gate staff "수제간식집 방문" (suje gan-sik-jip bangmun, meaning "visiting the pet treat bakery") to gain access.
