Matneau (마뜨앤오) is a craft studio based in Pyeongtaek that specializes in candles, decorative objects, and sensory accessories. The studio offers a variety of hands-on classes for individuals, groups, and corporate clients, covering candle making, tile crafts, glass art, mother-of-pearl (자개) crafts, and mood lighting.
Among its offerings, the tile craft class has been especially popular recently. Using recycled materials and a variety of tiles, participants design and create their own decorative items, including trays, mood lamps, mirrors, and vases. The class is suitable for complete beginners and allows participants to create finished pieces that are both practical and visually distinctive. One-day classes, regular hobby courses, and a certification program are available. Group bookings for companies, schools, and cultural centers are also welcome.
Matneau is currently relocating to a larger studio at the Godeok Knowledge Industry Center in Pyeongtaek, with the move scheduled for July. The new location will be approximately 10 minutes from Pyeongtaek Jije Station (SRT and Line 1) and will offer free parking.
