If you are looking to learn a new skill or change your career direction while living in Korea, the National Tomorrow Learning Card (국민내일배움카드) is worth considering. This government-funded program provides financial support for vocational training in a wide range of fields, including IT, languages, design, beauty, mechanics, and more.
The card provides a basic training allowance of 3,000,000 KRW, with an additional 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 KRW available depending on the applicant’s income level. The card is valid for five years and can be renewed.
Government support covers 45% to 85% of course fees for general participants, with higher support rates available for job seekers, low-income earners, and individuals enrolled in employment support programs. Eligible participants may also receive a monthly training incentive of up to 116,000 KRW, provided they maintain an attendance rate of 80% or higher.
The program is primarily designed for Korean nationals, but certain foreign residents are also eligible, including holders of F-2, F-5, F-6, D-7, D-8, and D-9 visas. F-6 (Marriage Immigrant) visa holders may apply without additional conditions, while applicants with other eligible visa types must have a history of employment insurance enrollment.
Applications can be submitted online through Work24 or in person at a local Employment Center. For questions regarding eligibility, contact the Ministry of Employment and Labor at 1350.
