A special autumn food and leisure event is coming to Pyeongtaek Lake this October. The Pyeongtaek Lake Burger Picnic will take place from October 3 to 4, 2026, from noon to 8 p.m., at the lawn area near the Tourist Information Center in Pyeongtaek Lake Tourist Complex. Set against a scenic lakeside covered with blooming buckwheat flowers, the two-day event will offer visitors a chance to enjoy some of Pyeongtaek’s local burger brands while taking in the autumn scenery.
The event will feature 10 Pyeongtaek burger food trucks, along with a Pyeongtaek Family Flea Market featuring around 30 vendors. Visitors can also enjoy live busking performances on the lawn at 1pm, 4pm and 6 pm throughout the event. One of the main attractions will be the nearby 10,000-pyeong buckwheat flower field, which will be open throughout the event, offering a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing picnic by the lake.
Visitors can also borrow picnic mats and folding tables free of charge at the main information booth on a first-come, first-served basis. A total of 120 mats and 30 tables will be available. Personal picnic mats, camping chairs and other camping equipment are also allowed. Small one- to two-person tents may be used, although their placement may be adjusted for event safety.
Interpretation services will also be available for international visitors and foreign vendors, making the event more accessible to the local international community.
